I did a thing. A thing I haven't done for a very long time. I took Saturday and Sunday off work. I was feeling so flat, so uninspired, so lacklustre; three things that are simply not me. While enjoying my Saturday morning coffee in bed with Brad, I decided that a couple of days of 'chill time' was exactly what I needed to recuperate and re-energise.

On Sunday, we headed out after a sleep-in for donuts and coffee (oh, what a magical AM combination!). I wore two things I've almost avoided completely over the past year or so; blue jeans and stiletto heels. I've had a love affair with black denim and flats for so long now that these classic pieces had taken a backseat in my personal style, until now.

I don't know about you, but I'm kind of all sorts of in-love with these fabulous jeans for their relaxed fit, eyelet detail and raw hemline. I feel like they have the unexpected ability to elevate the classic tee and denim look that has been done so many times before, yet never gets old.

If you watch the @lioninthewild Insta Stories, then you'd know that I just added a couple of new pairs of stiletto's to my closet, in a bid to wear heels more again (though, I'll always have a place for my comfy boots and sneakers!). The Mode Collective makes some of the comfiest heels ever (they're super cushioned), so I really couldn't go passed their minimalist triple strap sandal.

Speaking of Insta Stories, I just filmed a fashion haul video featuring my new threads from NA-KD, so make sure you check it out. You can also directly shop all the pieces via the Lion in the Wild Shop page too!

Over the past couple of days I've been slowly getting back into work again (with the help of coffee, of course!), but also spending time re-organising my work space, listening to inspiring podcasts (like The Lively Show) and getting excited about creating content again. Goodness knows, there's nothing like a short break to motivate you to do what you love.

I'm wearing: White 'babe' tee and frayed blue jeans from NA-KD, black circle bag, Cluse watch, Coordinates Collection bangle, The Mode Collective heels and Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Penelope Pink.

  1. Simple and comforoltable but very chic look. Your bag is great.

  2. There is nothing better than a good jean, tee and heel combo! But I admit that I am the same, often opting for sneakers or ripped jeans! Love these blue jeans though, that hemline and eyelet detailing is gorgeous! xx
