Time to love me, by me.

For me, 2016 was all go-go-go, with hardly a moment to myself. And you know what? I was exhausted. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my job and running a business, but that doesn't mean that I don't need a little time off every once in a while. Time that is just for me, with me.

This year I'm going to be making a conscious effort to make sure I not only show my loved ones how much I care, but also myself. After all, there is nothing more important than having the ability to love yourself.

With Valentines Day on the horizon, I believe it is the perfect 'excuse' to take the time to love ourselves (not that we need an excuse, am I right?!). So, today I've teamed up with my favourite timepiece brand, Cluse, to share with you four ways to spoil yourself this Valentines Day (and any other day of the year!).

1. Read a self development book. I don't know about you, but I'm always searching for new ways to be better and right now, that means taking the time to read inspirational and motivating books. Not only do I love reading, but it also helps to improve my day-to-day life.

2. Enjoy a pamper session. Take some time each week (heck, even each month!) and pamper yourself. Paint your nails, enjoy a long bath, watch Sex and the City; whatever it is, it'll refresh you for the week ahead.

3. Take yourself on a date. Who says Valentines Day is only for couples? Take yourself on date, whether you're alone or with friends, and enjoy dinner, a movie, a romantic walk on the beach (cliché, yes, but it's a good one) or anything else that you wouldn't usually do.

4. Put yourself first (for once). There's nothing quite like helping and supporting the ones you love, but there are certain situations in which you should put yourself first. Perhaps, instead of staying back late at work once again, reward your hard work by going home on time.
