THE DECEIVING WINTER

I can't believe it is coming to the end of August (and winter) already. Is it just me or is this year going by so fast that you're scared you'll blink and find 2012 will have passed? Perhaps it is the rhythm of full-time work pushing me through the year or maybe because I'm just having the time of my life? It has after-all been proven time and time again that moments go faster when you're having fun.

And I feel as though I haven't made the most of this cool winter in terms of fashion. I wanted to take a page out of the book of The Man Repeller (or a post out of the blog) and layer on as many layers as physically possible, because layering is actually impossible during our boiling summers. Perth's winter of 2012 has been somewhat deceiving: predominantly clear blue skies representative of beautiful summer days (see: above photos), but really it's fricken freezing! Though I've been told by many Europeans that 15 degrees isn't actually cold, but I beg to differ.

Luckily for me however, the height of my winter is yet to come due to an extended holiday to the sub-zero depths of Canada. So no need to worry, the layering will come. Oh yes indeed, the layering will come.
