CENTRAL INSTITUTE STUDENT RUNWAY: ILLUME
It was terribly hard not to sit in complete admiration at last week's Central Institute Fashion and Textile Student Runway, Illume. For somebody who studied design, I can only imagine the countless hours spent by each student ideating, developing, refining and producing their first collections. What stood out for me at the show was the painstaking attention to detail in each and every piece. I was caught off guard by the ready-to-wear nature of the garments and thus found myself lusting over many of the individual pieces (the white cut-out coat by Tiana Continibali being one of them). Needless to say I was completely blown away by such an innovative showcase of young talent.
Congratulations to all the graduating student - I'm very much looking forward to seeing more from you in the near future!
Oh, and I'll post outfit photos from the show very soon.
