THE RISE OF PASTELS

The rise of muted pastels teamed with leather has been well-and-truly confirmed by New York Fashion Week, not only on the runways but also on the (all important) street. In my opinion, there is no better way to express a trend than with leather, so I'm definitely on board. Unfortunately for a lot of us, we're still stuck in a hot summer for the next couple of months, and while we're seeing the trend in the way of pastel coats and leather leggings, I don't see why we have to wait until the weather cools down, right?

I wore this outfit out to lunch with my beautiful mum before jet setting to Asia. I'm going to put it out there and say, it is easily one of my favourite summer outfits to date. Pulling items from the Ringuet Autumn 14 collection is one hell of a tough gig, with a cohesive offering of white leather, exclusive prints and a hint of pastel. Truth be told, this collection has my name written all over every piece. My favourite item? The white neoprene shorts, hands down. Stylish, flattering, comfortable and surprisingly versatile, these shorts are everything and more.
