My Summer is...
Hanging out with August Street in Sydney.

During my latest visit to Sydney (you can see all that we got up to by searching the hashtag #litwgoestosydney on Instagram) with Jenelle and Emily, we visited the lovely ladies at August Street HQ. I've been 'repping August Street here on Lion in the Wild since the early days of the blog, so it was amazing to finally meet the team behind this fabulous label that seems to fill my wardrobe.
Playing with the upcoming summer collections by August Street was enough in itself to get us all excited for the season ahead. Although currently, as I type this, it is a boiling hot 38-degrees here in Perth, making it feel like we're already in the middle of summer despite the fact that we're still in November. Move it along August Street, I'm going to need that blue and purple printed dress ASAP!
Drawn to what seems to be my usual pastel hues, summer whites and sophisticated greys, #mysummeris all about chilling out at the beach under the hot sun with perfect blue skies, not a cloud to be seen, while balmy summer nights are spent drinking chilled sangria on a breezy balcony with friends and family; all of which I tried to incorporate into my styled shot (with a little help from Catalogue, Alias Mae, Lack of Color, Red Earth Beauty and Bondi Sands). Matching printed separates, wide leg pants and light jackets made the cut, though if truth be told, it was an incredibly tough choice!
I've got so much to share with you before the year is out with the Lion in the Wild editorial calendar choc-a-block with fabulous new content, so expect plenty of new articles throughout each week as the end of the 2014 looms. But for now, I'm off to pack my bags for another quick getaway (always on-the-go!).
