The Classic Grey Trench Coat

Today's wintry #OOTD.
________

I'm sitting here in my office, typing away and feeling ridiculously drowsy, and it's not even 3:00PM yet. What is wrong with me? I even had a very decent sleep last night. It's probably time for coffee, eh? The answer to that is always yes(!), so after procrastinating on YouTube, I'm now sitting here with a delicious cup of coffee (go figure). I can feel it waking me up and warming my soul already. Ahhh.

I told you during yesterday's weekly update post how lovely the weather was over the weekend, to the point where I spent most of Saturday and Sunday wearing shorts, but now we're back to clouds and rain and wind; far more appropriate winter weather, apparently. With just two weeks left of winter though, I plan to make the most of this cool weather, especially since I hadn't yet worn this amazing light grey midi trench coat from River Island. Well, until today at least.

Without a doubt a wardrobe essential, I've always wanted a grey trench coat, especially one in a sophisticated midi length. I feel like a trench coat is one of those classic items that will last you a lifetime of winters, which is why splurging a couple of grand on a Burberry trench coat is definitely counted as a worthwhile investment (oh my, it's the dream!). I got this one in a size up so I can layer underneath it in years to come, but also looks fine on a day like today when it's not terribly cold.

Now I'm going to finish this cup of coffee, send a few urgent emails and hopefully organise my new beauty stash (so many new things!).
