COOKIES, CANDLES AND CANADA
Despite being a little later than I had imagined, I finally took the plunge and bought the Cookies boots from Wittner. And at half price mind you. Though I had plans to wear them through Spring, they'll have to wait until after my Canadian adventures. But who knows? Perhaps they'll spring up in an outfit post over the next few days.
Speaking of my trip, the lovely girls from work bought me the Lonely Planet guide for Canada as my leaving gift (how appropriate!). I've been told more than once that I'm very hard to buy for, but I must say the girls really hit it on the head with this one. Flipping through the pages has made me more excited than ever. While it is always sad leaving a job (especially since you spend the majority of your time with colleagues), I'm super excited for the future - who knows what it will unfold?
I also scooped up a few premium soy glass candles from Urban Rituelle (I've become such a sucker for candles!). There really is nothing like a burning candle creating a sweet scented ambience at home, whether it be in the bathroom, bedroom, office or living room. As next year Brad and I plan to embrace our interior design skills to decorate our home, expect to see a lot more candles and assorted knick-knacks here on Lion in the Wild.
Five days until we leave for Montreal, Canada!
