HAPPY BIRTHDAY LION IN THE WILD!

Can you believe it? Lion in the Wild is one-year-old today! And yes, I know we say this every year, but hasn't it just flown by? They say time goes fast when you're having fun, and my goodness running this blog has been that and so much more.

As with most, I found myself constantly searching the pages of my favourite blogs for (real life) fashion inspiration, wishing I could do it myself. Finally late 2011 I found the courage to begin my own blog, with every intention of having minimal shots of myself actually published. But of course I found that it was those very posts I was intentionally avoiding that were gaining the most popularity, so here we find ourselves today on a blog featuring mostly personal posts. And to be honest, they're no doubt the most fun to create.

This past year has seen a great deal of change, from my ever evolving personal style and fashion choices, to my (what seems like) ever shortening hair length. All of which can be seen through each and every post published over the last year. I never in a million years would have thought that I'd be featured by super cool brands such as Market HQ, Sportsgirl and Wish.

I absolutely must do a shout out to everyone involved in helping me keep the blog going: to my gorgeous Mum for taking photos and allowing me to borrow a great many of her clothes (to say the least); to my Dad and brother Shane for also taking photos; and my partner Brad for being incredibly patient while I Instagram, tweet and blog absolutely everything, and for taking some of the most stunning photographs featured on Lion in the Wild. And finally to my readers and fellow bloggers, in the end you're the ones that make this whole journey so rewarding.

Needless to say, I'm very much looking forward to the next year of adventures, from blogging to travel and everything else in between, all of which you'll be sure to see right here.
