OLD MONTREAL
Wandering the streets of beautiful Old Montreal, walking along the frozen St Lawrence River and watching ice-skaters on Parc du Bassin Bonsecours, without a shortage of coffee and croissants, is without a doubt the best way to spend the day in an unknown city. There is something so breathtaking about Montreal (and no, I'm not just talking about the bone-chilling weather) whether it be the history marked in the cobblestone streets or the crisp white blanket of snow over everything.
We're currently snuggled in our hotel room listening to the quiet pitter-patter of the softly falling snow outside. And while we both (Brad and I) agree that this place is truly magical, the locals seem only to be dreaming of the warm Australian beaches. How ironic!
