BLESSED BY THE BREEZE

Boy-oh-boy do I need more summer wear. Despite a wardrobe full of clothes (instead of a suitcase, finally), I feel as though it lacks options for these 40+ degree days. When all you want to do is strip down entirely and jump through the sprinklers, it's difficult to get the courage to actually put on an appropriate daytime outfit.

I did however have enough sense to purchase a couple of suitable summer pieces before heading back to Australia (thank goodness Canadian retailers were already receiving their spring stock). I wore this outfit last week while enjoying the beautiful cool sea breeze down in Mandurah. While I still deem the Zara leather-look tank too heavy for a heat wave, it'll be getting a whole lot of wear once the weather decides to be a little less cruel due to it's endless styling alternatives. The Topshop shorts were a no-brainer buy as they offer a super comfortable fit, simple pattern and unique cut-out (giving the illusion of some leg length - woohoo!). Once again proving my love for basics with that little something extra.

And while we're coming to the end of this particular heat wave in Perth, I predict another before summer is out, which really is just a good excuse to buy more suitable clothes, right?
