LEATHER REINVENTED
For once this outfit consists of almost completely new items, something I am definitely not used to. Last years goal was to save save save a whole lot of cash to follow my dreams and travel (tick and tick!), and as a result my wardrobe didn't have the annual growth I would normally fancy. I predict that 2013 will hold good fortune for my closet, however if not, I'm getting pretty good at re-inventing looks with the same old pieces.
Leather has been my ultimate fashion staple for quite some time now, an appetite that has transformed into an inherent tendency to be attracted to anything adorned with leather. Long gone are the days when only bikies and their wives were associated with the trend (especially if the Fall 2013 RTW shows are anything to go by). I first spotted the textured sweater on the Sportsgirl Facebook page and knew I had to get in on the action before its fabulousness sold out. I'd also been hunting down an asymmetric wrap skirt in my budget for a very long time, so when I discovered the Neon Hart Wrap Skirt at the General Pants Co. Karrinyup store I had to hold back a squeal of delight. Of course my recent fashion splurge didn't begin in Perth - it was in Canada that I finally allowed myself to fulfill my need for retail therapy. It was my last destination of Vancouver that I snapped up the multi-compartment cross-body Kimchi Blue clutch in Urban Outfitters.
You should absolutely expect to see each and every one of these pieces again, reinvented of course.
