A COBALT WINTER

While we experienced a teeny tiny snippet of autumn last week, April is being welcomed in with Perth's notorious sunshine and warm weather. And yes, I know I shouldn't be complaining about all this 'perfect' weather (again) when many of you in the northern hemisphere continue to battle an extensive winter - there are very few things more depressing than a lack of sunshine for weeks on end. Yet every time I'm in my walk-in closet my collection of jackets and coats seem to be screaming for attention, to go out into the wide world and experience all winter has to offer. What can I say? I'm a winter lover.

Since the Fall 2013 RTW shows I've been obsessing over piles of leather, effortless layers and rich seasonal colours. While the majority of my outerwear is either in black or neutral tones, this gorgeous cobalt blue (note: favourite colour of the season) coat by Wish definitely adds a bit of oomph to an otherwise toned down wardrobe. Although I've only been able to sport it on the coolest of mornings so far this Autumn, I have an itch that it'll be practically superglued onto my shoulders over the coming months.

I hope everyone is enjoying their Easter break - I know I have! Brad and I received an insane amount of chocolate somewhat resembling the quantity found in a supermarket confectionary isle (see here), thanks to our wonderful families. All I can say is I'm going to have to stock up on skin care so I can feed my chocoholic self without the subsequent red spots and blotches. First world problems, sigh.
