Form and Fleur: An August Street Ensemble
A few words from the comfort of my bed.
________
Well, it's official; I'm back on the shorts-in-winter bandwagon. Cold, what cold? Truth be told, I was just waiting for a slightly warmer, sunnier day to wear my new August Street Selma Short, which have been receiving a whole lot of hype over on Instagram. And I can hardly blame you, with their curved layered detail on the front and flattering flared shape, which I emphasised with a bigger size (and just rolled them at the top to make up for the slightly larger waist).
Styled with the August Street Florence Top, a stand-out piece itself with its exclusive structural floral print, and my Wish waterfall blazer that has been worn systematically since 2012. One of the things I've learnt over my blogging 'career' (which it has become) is that it's the little details that add a little oomph to an outfit; in this case the Izoa nude heels and matching cat-eye sunglasses, which brings together the whole ensemble.
I'm currently writing this from the comfort of my bed, snuggled in a few blankets with #indithecat to keep me warm. I don't usually use my laptop in the bedroom, preferring to keep it a tech-free zone (well, sans iPhone 5 anyway, which seems to be super-glued to my side these days), but this morning it was just too tempting. It's Monday and it's cold, okay? It's definitely not a shorts kinda' day today, so I'm glad I made the most of the sunshine last week. Ah, the working-from-home life!
Luckily for the Lion in the Wild duo, we're heading to summery lands in just one week. I've been up late every night prepping for our trip to Bali, Indonesia, which of course will be so worth the lack of sleep. I've got so much planned everyday while we're there that we probably won't have much R&R time, but I really cannot wait to show you what we've got up our sleeves. Expect sun, sand, bikinis and luxury (you know, just the usual Lion in the Wild get-up)!
