The Santai Umalas: A Day in the Villa #2
Part two of The Santai two-bedroom villa experience with The Luxe Nomad.

Between my first cappuccino and, well, my second cappuccino in The Santai villa, I reacquainted myself with the real world also known as emails, and whipped up a quick blog post, with the sliding doors open to allow the fragrant Balinese breeze to drift through the lounge. With the day planned out, there was nothing left to do but enjoy the in-villa breakfast spread with Brad. I highly recommend the simply delicious banana pancakes, or if they're not quite to your liking, you can always make a custom request (now that's what I call service!).
As the morning wore on it was due time we slapped on the SPF 30+ to make the most of the sun deck; its expanse inviting us to relax poolside under the perfect blue Balinese sky. I was in my element with an inspiring read and a fresh juice, kicked back on the large outdoor lounge. Before long, we realised that the villa was too good to not share. After a mouth-watering lunch at GONG Restaurant, set beside the lobby, we invited my Mum and Dad over to enjoy the spacious pool with us (who coincidentally just happened to be in Bali as well). With delicious Asian-inspired poolside snacks and a cheeky cocktail or two to entertain our very special guests, we were well and truly enjoying everything The Santai has to offer.
And so, the whole experience has left me pondering - why can't every day be like this? The Santai in Umalas, Seminyak, is a luxe and idyllic retreat; the perfect setting for relaxation and leisure (and a little work on my behalf), best shared with loved ones. Heck, I sure as anything could spend days on end working at The Santai with an endless stream of inspiration and zen combined.
