An Off-the-Shoulder Top for Every Occasion

The surprising versatility of a statement piece.

As you may already know, the last couple of weeks have seen me do something I pretty much never do; take some proper time off. I've been reading, listening to podcasts and watching YouTube videos in an effort to reconnect with what I love doing, which is, of course, creating beautiful content.

Not only did it work an absolute treat, but I didn't feel guilty at all. As it turns out, it actually is beneficial for yourself and your work to enjoy a day off here and there (go figure!).

And so now I find myself outside, enjoying the warm early morning sunshine and a cappuccino, dressed in this weeks' favourite combination (the off-the-shoulder top and ripped jeans), and writing today's blog post. Quite frankly, I couldn't think of a better way to start the day!

Truth be told, I adore autumn weather. The air is fresh, yet not too cold, which means baring your shoulders isn't out of the question. And just as well too, since this gorgeous number from MLM Label is one of my favourite new wardrobe additions. The layered stripes,  oversized sleeves and flowing silhouette are the recipe for a statement top that could be worn for almost any occasion.

Styling an outfit with different pieces can take even the most eye-catching piece from day-to-night. During the day, style an off-the-shoulder top with a pair of your favourite denim and comfy espadrilles, and for nighttime have fun with some wide leg trousers and a clutch bag. You just might be surprised by the versatility of such a stand-out garment.

Now it's time to somehow peel myself off our outdoor lounge (it's so comfy!), make a healthy breakfast smoothie and get some work done in the office before heading out for the day.
