Lilac and Blue
I’ve decided that 2020 unofficially begins in February, a modern concept I’ve embraced with arms wide over the past few years. Goodness knows, I’ve spent the last month indulging in great food, the best company, Love Island (alas, it’s my guilty pleasure) and reading novels. Heck, I’ve finished four books in January alone, more than I can say for the entirety of 2019.
The truth is, I’d planned on throwing myself head first into the year, and more precisely my work, three weeks ago, but the universe had other plans for me. The decade hasn’t exactly gone to plan so far, but I’ve been lapping up the downtime and I feel so incredibly rejuvenated, like I haven’t in a really long time. I’m literally sitting here bopping away to my Spotify tunes excitedly as I write my first blog post of the decade.
While many of my outfits this January have consisted of Brad’s oversized shirts and a pair of biker shorts, I’ve also repeated this lilac and blue combination more than once (I just swapped the nude heels for a pair of white ones or the jeans with a black pair of trousers – voila!). Who says you can’t wear a statement top multiple times?
This Lovers + Friends style has almost sold out, but I’ve linked a bunch of similar pieces below, including this gorgeous lilac top. I styled the organza top with my favourite blue jeans (I get so many questions about these on Instagram ‘cause the fit is beyond perfect, and they’re super flattering and comfy).
I’m going to spend the rest of the day ideating and scheduling lots of content (one of my favourite tasks) since I’m feeling super motivated and inspired right now. Bring it on!
