3 Ways to Style White Jeans

If you didn’t know, every week over on the ‘Gram I’ve been creating Styling Session Stories, which thus far have been all about how to style one piece three different ways, from a leather dress to a summer skirt (you can find them all on my Styling highlight here). Goodness knows, you know how much I love being able to get the very most out of every piece in my wardrobe, no matter how much of a statement it may be.

This week’s edition is all about the humble yet über cool pair of white jeans, which I’ll admit can be a challenge to style at the best of times. The first thing you need to do is find a fit that is flattering and comfortable, so I’ve gone for a boyfriend style jean that I’ve had for ages and cuffed the bottoms to elongate my legs.

TIP: I went up a size in these jeans to allow for more room around the thighs and belted the waist.

Outfit #1: Autumnal

This is the first cold week we’ve had since the onslaught of our very hot and long summer in October (it was an early start and a late finish) and I made the very most of it be wearing the cosiest of chic layers, even if it was just at home. Let’s be honest, it was a much needed break from wearing hoodies and sweatpants everyday.

For this autumnal look, I layered an oversized houndstooth blazer on top of turtleneck jumper and paired the look with chic accessories, like my Poléne bag, a vintage style belt and Acne Studios boots.

I’m wearing:
Storets blazer (sold out - similar here and here), Uniqlo turtleneck jumper, Cotton On jeans, Polene bag, black belt and Acne Studios boots.

Outfit #2: Dressy

Who says you can’t dress up jeans? White jeans, in particular, have a knack for being on the casual side, so I styled them up with luxe fabrics and minimal accessories. The one-shoulder top is the hero of this look with its jewel-toned green hue, luxe satin fabric and long tie waist, which I’ve knotted instead of bowed, allowing it to fall to my knees to create a stylish statement.

The minimalist strappy sandals give the look a high end feel, while the gold hardware compliments and ties the look together. There’s no doubting I love a gold hoop earring right now.

This is the perfect look for a night out (or in, in our case) with the girls.

I’m wearing:
L’Academie one-shoulder top, Cotton On jeans, Arms of Eve earrings and cuff, Rubi belt, black clutch bag and Alias Mae kitten heels.

Outfit #3: Casual

And we’re finishing it off with the most popular look, as voted by you. You love dressy looks, but your favourite by just a smidge is anything with a comfy sweater and sneakers. Who could blame you? Not me.

Having just received this boxy jumper, I knew I had to include it in this series and I actually ended up loving this outfit so much that I wore it this very day. There’s something about muted yellow tones paired with white that feels so fresh yet understated to me. Heck, I actually managed to wear the platform sneakers all day too (usually I’ve swapped out my shoes for sneakers by midday) since they’re that comfortable.

And even though I really don’t need it right now, I styled the look with a chic backpack too.

I’m wearing:
Cotton On sweater and jeans, Uniqlo belt, Zara backpack (old, similar here) and Rubi sneakers.
